Canals Poems - Poems about Canals

Premium MemberAlways

you always had a way with words
like Amsterdam
whose running rhymes
of bicycles and harpsichords
and bridges over canals caused
us both to steer each other's hold
to mouths whose distance
was decreasing,
slowly through museum pieces
though I always hoped to linger
nestled inside yours

The Carcass Catacomb and the Corpse Canals

In the dark recessions of the corpse canals,
Where the breaking of bones sounds the eerie air like the clanking of bells,
Where the tearing of tendons whistle and hiss,
Echoing across blood water lakes laced with piss.

Found deep within a Carcass Catacomb, where the restless undead candidly roam,
There are, unfortunately, the unlucky few

Ballad of the Harecastle Tunnel

The moon shone on the water
Dyed ochre by the iron mines.
Centuries of men have toiled

Modern, historic.
Holiday.

A Jellyfish Danced, Through Canals of Venice

A jellyfish danced, through canals of Venice,
To look in awe, at a superior menace,
That thought that it could take over a planet,
Each land it conquered, small groups inhabit.

And now, it seems, this species of ill,
Has had to watch earth, through a window sill,
As nature reforms and unites in wonder,
The animals returned, from grounds they’re under.

Crooked Canals.

Crooked canals seem to cancer my minds passages,
They flank my system and the first symptom is anger,
The situation goes from capable to cancelled packages.
Forgotten practices redeem the handled danger.

Turbulence in my undercarriages causes confusion in my passengers,
Nose die from 1400 feet, am i supposed to be this high?
Bodies as rag dolls grounded by seat fasteners.
