Camp Bastion Nights

I have listened to,your stories
Heard your talk on Human Rights
It’s warmed the cockles of my heart
On many a Bastion night.
The next time I come across, 
And I know I surely will
The indiscriminate victim
Of a Taliban kill

I won’t get upset 
Or have any sleepless nights 
I’ll know the Tali did it in defence 
Of his version

The Last Bastion

Brave are those battling the tempest,
Undaunted by overwhelming odds.
Amidst the fray seems so surreal,
Just a flight of fancy to the Gods.

Silent and stoic in the arena,
Clad with unflinching resolve.
Nobody will deter the outcome,
Regardless whom it may involve.

The last bastion of defense,
To withstand the savage horde.
What price to recompense,
Just a tax none can afford.

Always causing a mess
With every step he made
He couldn't get the rhythm
Of the moves already played

Her actions were nonsensical
Wayward at best
While others enjoyed living
She couldn't find rest

They were rough and rowdy
Hurting others along the way
Stagnate and still
Growing swords and shields for play

In a block, in a building
They scream in silent terror
As cooks of an old

BASTION of TRADITION
  the erstwhile
 contemporary
surreally clustered
 together
mellowed
 to  an extent
that
 immortality
still  appeals
 driven by
an  impulse
of
 isolation
against still
prevailing
 then
but
now forgotten
  bourgeoisie

 then
 surely
antagonising
stunted
&
 scandalous
 outpost of
controversy
of
inverting imagery

errors in society
the motif
producing
a
furore
against
of moral
 decay
&against
in mistrust
of in
authority

The wounded warrior was a bastion
that fought the enemy with bloodied side.
He truly was a Knight to gaze upon,
a Samson who defended right with pride.

The enemy continued its onslaught
against an army made of only one

Fortification of great entertainment
