Risk Avoidant

It’s easier to take a risk
When youth will thus allow
A bounce-back sensibility 
Which now I’d disavow.

For when you’re young, you never think
Of all that can go wrong.
You live your life and merrily
(Or not), you roll along.

Yet age gives your perspective
Quite an unexpected jolt.
It may be building slowly
Or strike like a lightning bolt.

At this my next to the last
Enlightenment

The curtain positioned to fall

I got nothin I am so sorry
Layed back to share with you all

I am decimated kids
done in by my very own hand

Raped and pillaged
disenfranchised and lost

Theres no telling how I will land

Heads don't seem to have one
Or one with a functioning mind

Fearful Avoidant

I've been sneezing since June from the dust.
I took bupropion with mountain dew-
Now I can't sleep, my heart is beating fast,
I'm a little dizzy and a bit nauseous.

Vesta told me not to lose my head
But I was having so much fun!
I couldn't find Hera or Venus
But Herne told me there's no harm.

i am an avoidant

i avoid the eyes that stare

they make me feel like handcuffs to a chair

and I'm afraid of the face

how it comes to rest on my case

the pounding of a heart

like the shredder shredding me apart

i avoid the local bars and pubs

and I'm not living it up at the college clubs
