Winter Olympics 1994

The nineteen-ninety-four Olympic games
were held in Norway that specific year;
the thing that I remember, shame of shames...
two women athletes made the news...oh, dear.

Named Tonya Harding, Nancy Kerrigan,
great figure skaters, talented, well-known,
made history when jealousy began,
and Tonya did not want to share the 'throne'.

Ex-husband and accomplice, with baton,
attacked, caused injury to Nancy's knee;

An angel that would leave my heart torn

I formed a square of brick 
a block house of the future
and the years like dust lay thick 
around my door
many footsteps answer like dreams 
upon my floor
 
I built a synthetic artery into the mountain side
And there beneath a hollow cave

Time has passed and continues to pass!
I can still see her lying in the hospital
I can still see her sweet face
Even though it was drained from the pain
And of course the tears she cried!
I can still see the drips through her nose
I can still see the anguish
