The Garden of Love and Guilt

THE GARDEN OF LOVE AND GUILT Judas, was destined to be the traitor to betray our Saviour, Paid 30 pieces silver for him to perform guilty behavior Satan had entered this man who told the authorities, To follow Our Saviour, and the one he kissed Among the majorities, Would be Jesus, the innocent son of God, that they should arrest, And so it took place, then Jesus was tried and Convicted, this blessed Holy man sent by God, convicted of being treacherous And claiming to be King of the Jews for which he was Deemed to be dangerous, He was to be crucified, as a common criminal! A new era for many was about to take place in Biblical History – Jesus had to carry his own cross through the streets Of Jerusalem, through to the Hill of Calvary, where he meets And is crucified between two thieves, He suffered unimaginably on that stark wooden cross, he heaves His body one last time, His last words Heard from this Son of Man, Our Lord Were, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit”. And then he died, And Mary his mother cried! Jesus thus took upon him the sins of humanity, And so began the New Testament and Christianity.

Well expressed and hope reigns eternal. I sometimes wonder if Judas was forgiven. He was remorseful when he returned the silver.

Judas has also occupied my thoughts quite a lot - He did the ultimate wrong by betraying Jesus, but had he not, how would Jesus have been handed over to the roman authorities, and, as a result of Judas's betrayal, Jesus was then crucified - I think perhaps God forgave him - Jesus knew Judas would betray him and even told his disciples so at the last supper. Judas was remorseful and it sounds, and feels that in fact it was destined that he was the one to betray our Saviour. He could however not live with this sin! Hugs, Jennifer.

Thank you Gordon - The passion of our Christ is indeed heart rending - the torture, the pain and his actual waiting for them to seize him in the Garden of Gethsemane, was something and remains an unimaginable cruel sequence of events. Thanks for the visit Gordon. A blessed Easter Monday tomorrow. Poetry hugs, Jenny.

Jennifer, the journey was too difficult and full of blood streams, he was disgraced far beyond measures. Hallelujah he came Hallelujah he has arisen. Thank you Jennifer for penning this down.

Yes Okonkwo, It was Gods's plan, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, to be crucified and to rise from the dead so that man could find everlasting salvation. God is our Architect, and Jesus was part of His final touches to His plan to bring about Christianity. Thank-you for a wonderful comment Okonkwo! Poetry hugs, Jennifer Jennifer.

Thank-you Lindsay, Yes I don't normally write this style of poetry but with Easter round the corner, I felt the need to. Next week is your Easter Sunday, but the Greek Orthodox celebrate Palm Sunday next week, we are a week behind you and every leap year our Easter falls on exactly the same dates. Thank you always for your kind comments - hugs, Jennifer.
