The Fiddler and the Frog
On edge of the marsh trills a Spring Peeper.
His pal is a fiddler, whose strum’s deeper.
Together their tune’s not bad,
yet driving the neighbor’s mad.
Their hands over ears - still not one sleeper.
The fiddler and frog with their tunes mingling,
with sun in tired eyes and marsh ears tingling,
Both perfectly contented
though neighbors, they’ve tormented.
The fiddler and frog with their trills mingling.
