There’s thunder; and thunderous crickets-sound. The boom-boom that’s not too loud. The insects, incessant.

I like your comparison of bugs and thunder. The crickets at night can be incessant and annoying. Maybe we'll get some rain and that will drench their spirits :-) hugs and have great evening, Sara

Yep, if I get to heaven, I do have to speak to God about mosquitoes. Summer can be exciting and enchanting. Especially when shared with a special other. A toast to summer!
