So spake simple Simon

To heighten awareness, begin and then pause, choosing to loosen up and lighten the heart, musing mindfully to determine the cause, that in the first place led strange stirrings to start. Poised in the void, no longer by thoughts decoyed, we retrieve light of soul, pure and unalloyed, recognising that this life is but a dream, manifested by desires we chose to stream.

Dear US, your poem is deep and thoughtful, and so beautifully expressed. I adored your entire poem but especially this verse "Poised in the void, no longer by thoughts decoyed" The ability to "retrieve light of soul, pure and unalloyed" is an invaluable meditative gift. Btw decoyed/unalloyed is a great rhyme pair! Congratulations for your win in Emile's contest. Warmest wishes my poet friend.. ~Susan

Thank you, Susan dear. When we remove identity or ego by thought cessation, we see our true essence, the light of Self, which we always were, are and will be, but for the moment forgot.

Okay - I loved all of this, but "...recognising that this life is but a dream, manifested by desires we chose to stream..." touched me most. Congratulations! :)

Thank you Linda ~ life is indeed a lucid dream, is it not, conjured by heart’s desire, manifested as thought, crystallised in form, as all that is manifest?
