My heirloom- finest work of art
my mother crafted with her heart
after I drew it by a chart
on linen cloth stretched for the part
of filling in with needle- start
threads painting- happily impart
a picture scene that stands apart.
Now framed, holds pride of place so smart.

(This is one of the embroidered pictures my Mom made whereby I drew the picture on fabric stretched on a frame, and she would "paint" it with her threads using small stitches. This one is 11"x 15.5")
