Popping-Glad Roses

Popping-glad roses,
  lipstick red,
watered in crystal vase,
small as the ledge
of a pond.
                  pondering
those blossoms, yet to be lit,
with their potential flames.

ruffled scent of glory
   in their short-lived story.

three will croon, late-bloomers -
   still cocooned.

bronze deer nods his head
in amen-annunciation -

the hourglass upends the pond
in existential happiness.

"popping glad roses" sound marvelous, are they a gladiola or a rose? Or a bit of both?

Just a phrase that my muse provided. Originally popping-gay but changed it to glad.

"ruffled scent of glory in their short-lived story." Beautiful image of red roses in a glass vase! Though their life is short, how they delight others with their enchanting scent and beauty ! Enjoyed your poem, Kim
