OH DEAR! I'VE LOST ME SPECS!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With a twitch of her tail and a frown, Suzy scoured the roots and the ground. “Have you seen my frames? They’re not just for squirrel games! Without them, I’m quite upside down!” With acorns and nuts all around, She’d trip over roots on the ground. “Oh dear!” she would say, “Where’d my glasses stray? I swear they were here, safe and sound!” Then a wise old owl hooted near, “Your specs are right here, my dear! On your nose, they sit, You silly little twit, Just look in the mirror, you’ll cheer!”
Dear Sara, there's something beautifully relatable here in how you spin a sweet fable from the tiniest everyday muddle, much like those little pumpkin moments in autumn twilight where a missing object, an ordinary place, or a quirk in the day is lifted up and made luminous. Wondrously musical and that final punchline sparkles. Summer Blessings, Dear Sara, Daniel
We all look silly with glasses, close as molasses…perched on our noses, on top of our heads, and in our hands. I wear contacts. I will take them out, wear glasses, take my glasses off…as if they are reading glasses…Oh the adventures of senior citizens…and those practicing for citizenry at 50 ;) Hugs, Sara!
Once upon a time, I had to wear glasses to be able to see...then I had lasik surgery. Hooray....no more glasses except to read really fine print. Ah, the life of a 70 year old. hugs to you,
thanks for visiting, Beryl, and for sharing your 'glasses' experience. I'm constantly misplacing mine...they get buried underneath papers on my desk :-) have a splendid evening, hugs, Sara
