Niagara Falls Welcoming Demise For Those Seeking Suicide
Niagara Falls has been a Welcoming Demise for centuries. It started with
thrill seekers going over the falls in a Barrel, bringing notoriety to those that survived the feat. They even have a museum there showcasing these daring
life risking foolish folks.
Sadly there have been over five thousand suicides that they can confirm. They estimate about twenty-five people each year choose this means of ending their lives.
Niagara Falls can be a joyous place to be. Enjoying the picturesque lovely variations of Water Falls there. Many tourist go there and enjoy its scenic beauty and are amazed of its roar and power. Sadly the beauty and raging waters have a surreal magnetic affect on those suffering from mental illness, depression, and non coping abilities. They choose this daring ride on its powerful current to end their lives. There are many videos on You Tube that show these desperate, depressed dark souls floating in the current, going over the precipice
ending their God given life. Just days ago there was a thirty-three year old mother named Chianti and her son Roman who was nine years old and her five month old daughter Mecca, who sadly perished at the Hands of Niagara Falls and their mother. This one event gripped my heart. I will attempt to write how I felt in rhyme form about this Mom and her precious son and five month old daughter.
I can't imagine Chianti, what happened in your life?
You couldn't ask for help from others, is there a reason, why?
The darkness you felt inside, and the struggles you went through.
Had dire consequences, because your actions did so prove.
Seeing you there at the Rivers edge when you started to lunge.
Your loss of hope, and desperation, came true when you jumped.
Heartache and pain were caused, with the decision that you made.
Chianti, Roman and Mecca, were the one's you betrayed.
Depression can manifest in anyone.
Whether it is loosing someone you
love or dealing with a bully, or just
life in general.
If you know of someone that needs
help or maybe yourself. There is a
a number to reach the Suicide Crisis
Lifeline 988 also the National Suicide
Prevention Life Line 800-273-8255
Tom Cunningham made a WOW
comment!! His comment was, " It's
an invisible illness that nobody sees
until it's too late." This is so true.
In other words be on high Alert of
others because like Tom stated above,
it is an invisible illness. Love Tom's
important statement. Great feedback...
Thank You
