LOL That's the way it is in some contests, Syd -- placings done in advance of entries received. When I see sponsors doing this, their contests I avoid. Having no names on entries evens the playing field. Very cool satire! Goes to my favorites. Love, Carolyn

;-) Cheeky! I would HATE to judge some of these contests. One poet has captured the subject perfectly through image, yet uses too many adjectives. Another, hammered out verse that is perfection, but missed the heart of the matter. Then there are the 25 entries that did each perfectly. Eye of the beholder and all. Technique, style, form, difficulty of poem created. Sheesh. Sympathy for the judges! It's easier to write than figure out the placements, MHO. :-) Hats off! Cyndi

Netski, as soon as i got my contest running, my teaching jobs unloaded eight tonnes of extra work on me, and i haven't had a moment to look at the entries.....but now i am freer and am actually starting to judge it( your entry is already in the bin...just kidding) ...did you like my sarcasm in the poem MY NEW CONTEST? No?
