Freedom of speech is a fundamental need that is to be express and achieved Yet it should not rape human rights or violates others ' beliefs.

Words are dynamic, the freedom seldom do justice because you cant satify all. Yes such ideal is commendable. Big up on your write. I like this one

The tongue is an all-consuming fire and YET sticks and stones may break my bones, but your words can't hurt me. They are both true, provided the right context (I make a second comment because there was more that I wanted to say)... long story short, good poem! I like those that invite discussion and dialogue.

I love the way you expressed your freedom of thought in your speech Timothy.. and I.agree with what you're saying. Yes,people are different ,so they respond differently to certain statements.I do believe wholeheartedly in freedom of speech .but one that is clever and with responsibility..

Well expressed in a compact packaged. I'm a heavy freedom of speech person, myself. But it CAN look ugly, if there is no moral fiber attached to it. It's an ongoing issue, because it's also how the words are perceived by the hearer - it is a person's choice whether or not to be offended. For instance, there's that issue on whether the Washington Redskins is an offensive title. I have a Native American friend who finds no offense in the term - and yet many non-Natives make a stink about it.

I agree with you Charm. We must never turn human rights into inhuman suffering for others. I can appreciate your thoughts on this subject Charmaine but, if some feel they have to hide their opinion, we will never know who we are talking to.

Its not about hiding the opinion dear friends..Its about not using freedom of speech as an excuse to validate that it is ok to hurt anyone intentionally for the sake of freedom..But thanks..I appreciate your comment cuz I believe in freedom of Speech only till it doesnt corrupt the freedom of life and rights...Best wishes to you and yours : )

Charmaine, I feel what you say, still I must disagree....I totally understand where you are coming from, but Life is a test, don't you see....God Gave us free will, a thing He didn't have to do....the only way we can prove our worth is with the choices we go through....and the choices are never forced, we just need to put up a better fight....plus there is no one on Earth who can tarnish the Beliefs within my sight....but that's just me....cant speak for anyone else....good write though....;)
