Lovely, and no, not alone <3 Your haiku is very peaceful, transcending this reader to a place of peace in memories of the forest where my family stayed for five weeks. I never felt alone. Your image of the tree also brought back memories; I truly felt the trees had an awareness of us way out there away from the town on the dirt road where the little home was located. It was very memorable, bringing us an up-close awareness of nature. This is so lovely Contance, as well as artfully captivating <3
