Fanna Fi Sing From Canada

She plays the tabla, Indian drums, a Canadian! "Fanna -Fi" is their name; Qawwal their claim to fame O when you are at a loss ... or down ... hear them sing! Fanna-Fi is the band's name, in well-deserved fame: Qawwal from Pakistan is likely not your cup Try it once - be lifted - again in music's fame Now, politics is one thing; Sufis CHOOSE all life - The thirst of souls; recall rejected Ali's name! As white folks from Canada have found something bright Clapping in Sufi style, one team, UNION is the aim

Your poem is very nice ... I enjoyed reading it, but it is not a ghazal, PS has a good explanation and examples of a ghazal.

Paul you are a MENSCH, ready to discover "humns and humanity." See, you actually admired aspects of it. I was Hindu before I came to faith in Jesus as my LORD and Redeemer. Never was Muslim. Few would guess SUFI Islam is different, love India too, & all people, especially downtrodden folk. shalom, shalom Friend

It is uplifting music, Anil...different from the usual styles we're used to. I liked the change in rhythm at around 4 mins out of a 20 min long offering; interesting instruments...and took notice of the lady playing the tabla (as pointed out in your poem) from beginning to end. Let's clap in unity! Regards // paul
