Dream Poem

I spent last night with a lovely poem. In dreams, its words of love, joy, and peace caressed me until I smiled and sighed. Accompanying it were breath-taking scenes, appealing blends of the ethereal and the earthly. Its inspiring lines flowed from regions of my mind that are inaccessible during waking hours. Each stanza addressed some resident phantasm or fear, then named and banished it. As the last line whispered itself to me, I awoke reciting my dream-induced creation-- eager to commit it to paper before it became forever lost.

Thanks so much, Karen. THAT dream was a rare one! Usually, I have disjointed, idiotic dreams! Janice

Dear Janice, Oh how beautifully you captured the intersection of dreams and poetry. I love how the imagery is evocative, and the idea of addressing fears through subconscious creativity is powerful. One of my favorite morning times rituals is remembering my dreams. Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

No. It's about a poem I really dreamed, in part, many years ago. THIS poem is old. Most of my dreams are just plain idiotic! LOL! Thanks, Andrea. Janice
