Disoriented

a gossamer idea floats down vacated hallways of my mind as it registers, I wonder if maybe I am sleep deprived- are there clouds of exhaustion built up in my eyes? did I perhaps take a psychotropic pain reliever? did low blood pressure cause this dizziness? are my ears playing a crazy trick on me? did the wires in my brain get tangled? am I just confused and distracted? maybe it is a feral fever dream or a delirious hallucination or did you just tell me     you love me? written 24 Jun 2021

What a dreamy poem. Aww, your first love. Who would forget their first crush, it made me think of mine. I love the shape of this poem and the last line was my favorite. It made me smile. :)

I'm so happy you won with this WOW poem my friend, Really breath-taking. Hope you are keeping well, I'm much better after my procedure but sadly our lady who worked for us for 13 years died of Covid yesterday. Our hearts are very sore that we have lost Thoko, she was a wonderful colleague and friend. Stay safe John, we must try hard to survive, all of us. Have missed your kind cheery wonderful comments. We also lost a cousin who was like a brother to us last week. Hugs and blessings, Jenn.

Lovely poem and great formatting too, hard to create diminishing lines, all the while keeping your idea intact, brilliant, John:)

The song, Your Just in Love. from the show Call me Madam written by Irving Berlin came to mind as I read your interesting verse. Great read. Thank you, John.

John, I love so many things about this, how the lines slowly diminish, and the richness of metaphors (clouds of exhaustion is probably my favorite, followed closely by feral fever dream) - I thought this was about someone about to faint - until I got to the last line - but that may be a different kind of fainting (is this for a contest?)
