Blank Slate

My mind is a blank slate, Each time I sit to write, Words come from my heart straight, As poems to delight, Words of deepest insight. ~~ My heart is a blank slate, Waiting for that love true, Hoping that my life mate Finds me with no ado, When will this love break through? ~~ My soul is a blank slate, Cleansed with Jesus Christ's blood, A fountain of joy great Overflows like a flood, God's grace is my lifeblood. ~~ My life is a blank slate, Each day, a new story, Each step, God does dictate, Living for His glory, Till my head turns hoary. ~~

Tabla rasa. Your poem captures all the important & beautiful things that a blank slate might absorb. You colored in with love, nature and God, no longer blank. Very moving and to me, profound.
