Baseball Cards

Baseball cards
have been around for years.
There are Topps,
and there are Fleers,
along with Bowman
and Donruss,
there are many
available to us.
Whether the player
plays shortstop or third base,
any professional player
will have his face
displayed on the front
of a baseball card.
Some are easy to find
and some are hard.
They are sold in packs
of bubble gum.
Every summer,
they come in a continuum.
Collecting makes a great hobby
without any doubt.
I only wish my old man
did not throw my old ones out!

Good subject with lots of collectors. Glad you wrote this one. You may not believe this, but I bought an old desk years ago and it had lots of cards in it. The owner had told me that he didn't want to clean out the desk, so I felt okay about the stuff. I didn't have any idea then that the cards were of value. 25 years later I sold them for a thousad dollars. One was Ty Cobb in 1911 as I recall. More to the story but it can wait.

OH, what a huge disappointment. I lost a bunch of troll dolls that I am sure would be worth a lot now too, from 60's. I kept, however, 300 albums and over 700 45's. I wonder if they have value on Ebay! nice trip down memory lane. LUv, Andrea
