A blue rose would be beautiful to see. But I think it is kind of sad when scientists try to change something that is already so lovely, just the way it is!.... I enjoyed reading this nice poem, Dr. Ram. Congrats on the win!

Yes the blue rose doesn't exist as a species. And Garden Club rules forbid using one that is dyed. So we must wait for a real specimen. Thanks for your comments on my poem. Love, Joyce

Very cool poem and perspective. Might you be the Doc who genetically splices the roses? What kind of Dr. are you anyways?

Interesting write. Does a blue rose have thorns? I wonder. Good luck in the contest. And thank you for your kind comments on my latest. Caroline.

Very nicely expressed, Dr. Ram. Blue roses would need a change in DNA. My sister wrote a play about a woman who tried to cultivate a white marigold and your fine poem reminded me of this. Surely, if one were to find the blue rose, they would have quite a treasure! Well done and best wishes in Mac's contest! Love, Carolyn

I love that you defined it technically. the blue rose is unattainable love. Sharon also captures that in her sonnet. LUv, Andrea
