    Where defeat
    must be chewed
    in several rounds
    swallowed with
    yesterday's raindrops

    Where truth
    blinds your vision
    awakened the echo of anger
    demons lurking
    thunder rolls

    Where evil dwells
    haunts the brain
    in songless praise
    broken rib
    red swirl spirals

    Where the heart beats
    altar of the soul
    heavenly peace subdued
    the breeze's shy caress
    embers of the sun

Anne-Lise, I think you indicate with this that maintaining a healthy sense of self is not that easy! You add a new meaning to what it means to be under the weather. A lot of complex operations occur in our brains. Really something isn't it? Smiles!!

Life is never all success. We have to meet with defeat. Some will have to confront it several times in a life span. Instead of growing bitter, we have to endure defeat and persevere for success. Great poem dear Anne. Love and hugs.
