3rd place in the contest

A vivid imagination Build a castle in top of a tree Pirates and jungle animals Pink elephants and hungry crocodiles Princesses and trolls Floating paper boats, huge ship sailing on the ocean Bringing life to children's play Without specific props, free and unstructured The result of natural curiosity a fictional and incredible world Fighting a dragon among ivy in arches Simple serving, in the shade of the mulberry tree Creates fascinating stories A silk thread that sews a seam, pluck from the skies Mud play, freshly baked chocolate cookies Would you wish to taste the success? Expands the palate's taste buds ... undoubtedly Coming home with red apple cheeks A healthy development and precious childhood memories Tired toddlers - sleeps through the night

When children use their imagination in their games it is a joy to behold. Before something can be created it has to be imagined. I love this poem. Cheers..

Wonderful, enchanted summery! Too much done for children, that destroys their natural imaginations, makes them mindfully lazy. This poem would make an interesting illustrated children's book. You had my mind joyfully playing. Well done!

Anne-Lise, I'm told that in some countries youth are allowed and encouraged to play on their own. It does sound good and has to develop more character than smart phone life. I loved..."would you like to taste the success?" I suppose a mud pie is interesting, but I'll pass on that one! Smiles!!

This is so cute the picture and also the dreamy nature of your word weaving! Love your mention of dragons and more! The imaginative flow of your lines here is seamless! I especially love "a fictional and incredible world Fighting a dragon among ivy in arches Simple serving, in the shade of the mulberry tree" just stunning!!! Pleasure reading this gem! Sending you light always!

- Today, play has largely moved from the street, the playground, the loop, the forest – and into educational institutions and arenas where adults control the activity... a sad development, Ink - Thank you very much for your comment :) - hugs

Children live in a fairytale world, free of unimaginable horrors that sadly come later in life when they see how evil mankind can be. Oh to be a child again. Best of luck in the Anne-Lise, hope you're having a lovely weekend.. Tom
