The Art of Snow
I sit and gaze upon the wintry slope
inside my aged abode so drab and plain.
Engulfed by white, the blizzard moves along
to lather candid bright the creviced roads -
a sparkling path to Heaven on display.
Angelic statues once were naked trees,
but now are blurred into a Renoir style.
A palette quite restricted paints the scene,
relieved by blue in cloudy skies above.
The snow maintains the beauty coating all,
into a wonderland of white and blue -
until the cold departs and warmth returns.
i SIT and GAZE up-ON the WIN-try SLOPE
in-SIDE my AGED a-BODE so DRAB and PLAIN
en-GULFED by WHITE the BLIZ-zard MOVES a-LONG
to LA-ther CAN-did BRIGHT the CREV-iced ROADS
a SPARK-ling PATH to HEAV-en on DIS-play
an-GEL-ic STA-tues ONCE were NAK-ed TREES
but NOW are BLURRED in-TO a RE-noir STYLE
a PAL-ette QUITE re-STRICT-ed PAINTS the SCENE
re-LIEVED by BLUE in CLOUD-y SKIES a-BOVE
the SNOW main-TAINS the BEAU-ty COAT-ing ALL
in-TO a WON-der-LAND of WHITE and BLUE
un-TIL the cold de-PARTS and WARMTH re-TURNS
