Premium Member The Fall of Summer

pastel June roses
afternoon picnic baskets
hiking a mountain meadow
the wanderlust thirst
as open as the ocean
beneath a fair freckled sky

drunk on sunshine wine
sunburns and blistered noses
sticky glazed humidity
crowds of rowdy kids
traffic congested beaches
August comes, longing for fall

Premium Member November Dreams

We lie ‘neath the oak
on a carpet of brown leaves
that lost their amber glory.
With eyes tightly shut,
we envision spring’s return—
hoping our love does the same.

Premium Member Yellow Ribbons

Yellow ribbons furl
on oaks that line our driveway
as we await your return.
Their luster's now pale,
reflecting the challenged hope
of a son you’ve never met.

Premium Member A Sweeter Scent

a rose is a rose
though bent by the spiteful wind
some petals are lost
its fragrance has not lessened
beauty changes but remains

its essence the same
yet overlooked, you pass by
touching another
perfection your objective
you forget time's truthfulness

beauty is fleeting
roses were not meant to last
yet this bleeding rose
pummeled and bent, almost crushed
offers you the sweeter scent

Premium Member Musings on love

Objects of desire
quenches not thirst of my soul,
that seeks only your embrace.

That that comes and goes
is unreal, oh hermit ~
agape love alone’s real.

Premium Member - His Mercy -

Words are bound in chains
                            the true creative spirit
In the ruins of the lost
                            pathetic struggle
Where will you stand the last night
                            His mercy, you overlook

                            See how great love is
in the spite of our mistakes
                            Difficult to understand
                            Father "in heaven"
                            His love is unwavering
                            Adam and Eve were tempted

                            Faith can move mountains
                            With holy awe, never doubt
                            Heaven and eternity
                            Walk the golden stairs,
                            and believe in God's promise
                            Love is absolute patience

                            Anger and hatred
We should love - by heart and soul
Out of love comes the power
                            The message of death
                            Love your brother and sister
                            Earth's children - let's live in peace

So slowly dancing
in Time's chilling solitude
bewildering the shadows
in Love's diary-
desolately She stares as
Hope's unwavering beacon

Autumn Moon

melon moon rising
akin to the rising sun—
In contrast to lapis sky
enchanting lovers
strolling hand in hand on shore.
Moonlight coruscates on sea.

Oh, Please Dare

10~14~2016 Oh, Yes Please Dare

Trust in love and just let go…
I will show you a view through a rainbow.

Yay! You took a chance and let go of the reins.
You are a rare soul and a treasure to behold.
A human still brave enough to risk others’ disdain.
You made a choice to accompany me, so bold.
For there is no excitement or joy without risk of pain.
You may see sights which support your wildest dreams I’m told.

                                       one who has not failed
not willing to take a risk
may live to a ripe old age
                                        so safe yet mundane
what drags they bore me so
dare to see through a rainbow

Premium Member You Are My Spring

"You are my fair Spring
your love invigorates me
life comes to full bloom in you"~~
I lie here, forlorn
Oh, that I could have known then
you'd be my fiercest winter

Eileen Manassian

Microcosm

I walk among stars,
my vibrant soul resonates
their brilliant symphony.

It tells the story
of us, each reaching out for
the divine in the other.

Premium Member Inflictions of addiction

Two Sedoka's on addiction.
I think we all know someone who suffers from addiction, be it alcohol, drugs, pills or gambling.. Sadly too many judge from the action and do not see the reason behind many fall into it.

fighting addiction
chains of control solder hold
held captive to corrupt brain
unhealed trauma screams
judgement offers no respite
soul hopes to escape prison

warfare addiction
mind battles intense craving
brain hellbent to find next fix
without compassion
do not judge - support through love
save a soul that's still alive

Premium Member Winter

Winter’s silent soul
Kisses away the darkness
With trembling flakes, snow feathers
Cardinals whisper
Blessing the breathless prayers
From hearts who feel love’s inklings

Soundless as snowdrifts
On the edge of a shadow
Caressing the mountains, the stars
Imaginations
Lift the spirits with lights,
Dazzling rays of hopeful fires

Burning away nights
Hues of laughter, kindness sighs
Erasing the fears, the tears
Stirring memories
Moments who prick the spirit
Collecting joy, so gentle

Endless reflections
Melancholy bleeding through
Branding love onto the dream
Aching frosts, bitter
In graceful, glacial coolness
Amazing artic natures

Imagine loving,
Through the snow blanketed days
Rising to find what love means
Drifting on the stars
Enchanting hopes, glistening
Stardust winter tones, rustling

Winter subsides, soft,
As the mellow flurries, calm
Bearing the twilight season
March arrives soon, winds,
Blowing away the last gusts,
Inviting the spring’s new birth.

Premium Member No Regrets - Carpe Diem

Never let PRESENT
Become the PAST at which you
Look back from the FUTURE and
Perceive with regret
What you should not have let drift
Seize the moment live THE NOW

Footnote:
The Future is a mystery which starts with the magic in the Present.
Please take time to listen to the lyrics in the video clip - which are very expressive of my poem.
