Long Winter Coming

I see a long winter coming
(yes, I know)
the dull gray spreads ahead of me,
there ain’t no use in running
(if I could)
from yourself you can never flee.

There’s a long winter coming
(how’d I know)
you’d take it to such an extreme,
thought that we were something,
(yes, you did)
when to ‘benefits’ we agreed.

…Oh, the lies we tell,
to fake peace with ourselves,
you were in that dark place…
but nothing did you say…

In the long winter coming
(how will I)
forget the picture I was shown
by a cop so condemning
(let me see)
just how you’d laid yourself low.

In this long winter coming
(I will ask)
why you couldn’t tell me the truth,
always said we’d end it
(if we found)
ourselves in love with someone new.

…Oh, how could it be,
a triviality,
with fire took a turn,
and how it left you burned…

O’er the long winter coming
(I will say)
I’d have left her if I had known,
if I’d learned of your feelings
(I’d take you)
as mine to see if it would grow.

Now the long winter coming
(weighs on me)
all that was lost with your dark choice,
I’m left here, undone, and
(every day)
I wish I could still hear your voice…

Bipolar Love

She says I’m so fun,
then claims that we’re done,
she says she hates me,
then wants my babies.
first she wants her man,
then says, “Go use your hand.”
She stares at my eves,
then says I’m full of lies.

The aggravation…
the resignation…
I think I’ve had enough
of her bipolar love.
Bipolar love.

She dreams of houses,
then only grouses,
wants to show me off,
then snaps, “Just get lost.”
One day she’s a dream,
and the next only screams,
How do I deal with that?
In love with only half...

The real confusion…
the sad delusions…
I think I’ve had enough,
of her bipolar love.
Bipolar love.

I want to love her,
and not be disturbed,
hope she gets well,
but half the time it’s hell.
It this allright?
Am I justified?
This is not her fault…
but drives me up the wall.

Mishmash of feelings…
it leaves me reeling…
I think I’ve had enough,
of her bipolar love.
Bipolar love.

Shattered Dreams In The Sky

Dreams were shattered like glass shards,
As innocent lives were pushed into the jaws of death.
Some doctors, engineers, accountants, and bards,
Extinguished were the candles of their breath.

A wife was on her way to meet her spouse,
While the daughters and sons aspired to study abroad,
Alas! Fate destroyed someone's beautiful house,
As the passengers were destined to embark on a journey to God.

Shocking news that sent waves of grief,
To all the mourners of the deceased,
A plane that crashed after its departure brief,
Time itself seemed to have ceased.

Every single drop of blood is precious
And so is every soul,
Let us tear down the wall of pride and status.
Saving humanity should be our ultimate goal.

Gumption

With a hitch in my get-along
which set me wrong
my get-up-and-go
is sadly misplaced
it done got up and went
cannot be traced
it's really too tragic
my mojo is spent
I need someone who
versed in voodoo
will weave their magic
do some hoodoo
come through with the juju
who'll hand me an amulet
give me a charm
which won't go amiss
so I draw no harm
with a little gris-gris
to take up the slack
and make sure my moxie
is right back on track

Tragedy

Indie swizz
Green and white
On top of hills
A view unlike
A tale of heaven, a place to repent
Now is none but a grave of men,

The song of winds turned to echoes of mist,
The crown of hind, now blood missed
Quite waters, a red fountain
Land of joy now weeps with mothers' cries
A bride, a child travelled to enjoy
But the bullets pierced the house's spine

Those who rose from side across
Left precise, showed no remorse
Pairs all broke, thrice all torn
The one's who left can only mourn
A woven day in a ruined past
Shook the world, now and will
A lesson learned
To never forgive

Tragic and Unfair

why did it begin in the first place?
and then why, it have to end so early?
it was meant to be another lovelorn story,
a story with arcs developing faster than fiction
everything shattered in the blink of an eye
our first conversation, it was all accidental
and so was our fate- it was tragic and unfair

Trapped by twisting strings

We are not trapped by iron bars ~ but by vibrating strings in a play

Stars, atoms, creatures and time itself are string figures still quivering
Ten heavens are trapped together by these unseen strings still weaving
All between the innumerable fingers of Saklas, still twisting

(Inspired by the scientific hypothesis of string theory, which states that everything on a subatomic level is made up of one-dimensional, vibrating strings).

The Tragic Death Of A Girl So Young

The river runs with silver light,
A ribbon wound through fields of white.
The moon looks down, so round, so bright,
On love that whispered in the night.

She walked alone, her heart so wild,
A dreamer lost, a trusting child.
Soft words had lured her to the deep,
Where water sings and shadows creep.

Beneath the branches bending low,
She met the one she used to know.
His hand was warm, his voice was sweet,
Yet darkness coiled beneath his feet.

A vow, a touch, a fleeting breath,
Then silence cold and still as death.
The river's arms embraced her tight,
And bore her far into the night.

The willows wept along the shore,
They knew her step would come no more.
The moon still glows, the stars still gleam,
Yet love lies drowned in sorrow's stream.

And he who swore to keep her near
Now walks with neither love nor fear,
For trust once shattered, life once lost,
Drifts nameless in the waters tossed.

A Halloween Proposal

Let's dance for the dead,
In beautiful nightmares,
And together we create the most eccentric tragic story,
No one has foreseen,

Will you be my Vampire?

Our tragic end

When I wanted someone to call
You used to be there
I watched you grow distant
I don't think it's fair

In every argument and fight
You found a way to play the victim
I'm used to being a villain now
That was just our system

I know I've caused you pain
But you hurt me too
I'm sorry for thinking of me
When I also should've thought of you

Traffic Safety

Drivers pay attention, you need to be more attentive, aware and alert
Distractions are very dangerous resulting in somebody getting hurt
Reckless drivers have drivers, walkers, joggers, and cyclist in a panic
Now leaving home for an drive, jog, walk, or ride can end in a tragic
There's plenty of areas to pull over to handle what can certainly wait
Allowing a distraction while driving can cause you to look up too late.

How Love Works

It’s funny how love works sometimes
one minute
you’re both strangers
the next
you’re in love
with a man
whom you can never have
he proposes
to every girl
any girl
besides you
even though
he never paid to take up space
in your brain
or your heart
and he leads you on
until
he doesn’t.
and you’re wishing you’d done something
said something
but you did do something
you loved him

A warrior's death comes quickly
fixed firmly upon his King's pro choice
when he crosses the great divide
separation from a body wheat and chaff

To Honour virtues as laid upon stone correctly
where his worth is weighed under moral conduct
through one needle eye threading to the source
against valiant deeds defending justice

Corrupt chaos is born from the defeated one's idol
Faceless big issue not being able to see his downfall
from Grace pride creeps with envy in those
whom do not accept your sin as a just cause

Through your arrogance the Lord knows lusting
needs comfort to be accepted as having a place at the table
burning in the desert sands forgiveness is the light
of sweet eternal fire quenched from the living waters of life

A mighty ship, Titanic

They built a ship,
to sail the blue.
A sight of wonder,
a dream come true.
They thought they built,
a mighty view.
There is no sea,
it can’t sail through.

But they were wrong.
For what they built,
was not so strong.
It brought them death,
that is for sure.
In the dark of night,
too far from shore.
An iceberg hit,
and flank it tore.

Husbands and wives,
did not survive.
Even the children,
did lose their lives.
With great Valour,
all rich and poor,
did give their lives,
to force majeure.

The ones who lived,
and had survived,
could not forget,
the souls deprived.
As for the owners,
who were Britannic,
could not forget,
the great Titanic.
