Your Healing

How can a wound ever heal When it remains exposed? Unwashed Unbandaged Open to the elements. How can a heart ever heal When the memory is raw? Unaddressed Unredressed Open to hurtful recriminations. How can I ever be whole When you invade my life? Your voice Your eyes Open the wounds wider. Why can’t you see The simple truth? Your love can… Bathe me Cleanse me Anoint me Bind me Save me My love, my life, I desire I crave I want I NEED Your healing! Eileen Manassian Ghali

Your response to Carl resonates with me. We are a rather stubborn lot. I enjoyed this heart felt piece.

Carl, yes...it's true. Sometimes we just don't give him the chance to do the healing work in us...thanks for the post! :)

Wow, Eileen what emotion in this poem. I hope the wound in this poem gets the tender kiss and touch it needs to heel. It's the holiday season so pull out some mistletoe.

Hey Jon, I wrote this quite some time ago...but I felt it wasn't good enough to post. I decided to go ahead. Healing? We all need a little healing in our lives because we all carry baggage and wounds! Thanks for the happy thoughts! XOXOXO
