I felt I had to expletive delete the last word in keeping with the respect I have for the rules of Poetry Soup. I don't see it as profanity, but some may. If you do, you have my sincere apology. The statements made that prompted this, were totally inappropriate. No political post is worth insulting "We the People"

You might be a deplorable
If Trump has got your ear
If you think this country needs to change
That's not in question; it's quite clear
If you don't bow to the mighty
And don't kow-tow to the rich
You might be a deplorable
Now isn't life a *****.
Looks like We the People
Cannot choose on our own terms
Must wear a ring within our nose
Regardless of the germs
I for one will choose my life
Friends not defined by class
If that doesn't meet your standards
Then you may kiss my a--
