You Are Back

10/1/12
I see you again And one thing is certain We cannot lift our eyes and reconnect I wanted to make the first move To make a stand But you are back And I a mere coward We cannot say a single word It is as if the past had never existed And we are distant strangers Lost in a sea of hesitation And do I sense humiliation? We cannot began to understand each other If no one says a thing If I am only left to think Why should I encourage myself to hope? Why should I try? If I see you again One thing is certain I will not discourage you—I will listen Because you are back You are back Even if it is only for a little while

Like two ships passing in the night...never knowing that the other existed. A touching write and beautiful to read. I never tire of reading your work. ~Kilmer

I love the pensive, introspective style to this write Laura - in these moments we discover the warrior inside, or the scared child still dependent upon the nourishment of the dominant - J.A.B. %
