Yesterday and Mama
As I sit by my dear old Mama,
Remembering years gone by,
I see her laughing eyes.
Bright as the stars,
Now they are clouded over,
no longer sharing with me.
Her voice once loud and loving,
now quiet as can be.
Hands that once were busy,
now lay stiff and still.
A hug taken for granted ,
never more to be.
I will remember yesterday,
and Mama for our family.
