Women Do

Jesus could walk on water, But we walk across forever If it is for love. Women do, you know. Walk on fire and broken glass too, With shattered collarbones From being held too tight In love. We wait. Trusting fate. And love. He could heal the lepers too Could he teach them to love themselves? As we do, for love? See beauty in potential and with our breath held Wait for it to grow? As we do For love? He suffered greatly. I know this, I do, But nothing changed. For all that he knew The outcome was not good. We understood. Women do you know. Keep ourselves frozen in ice David Blaine has a clue What we go through. Waiting For love. To return Solar, soul, solstice Return. For Love. For one crumb of affection Or warmth in the voice Or any sign Of Love. He came back anyway. After all that. When he could have sat at the right hand, Cities of gold and all that, Given up In Love. He came back. And so do we. Women do you know. In love.
