Whimsical Thoughts

The winding lane twists and turns as it meanders up hill and down dale stretching far ahead, a silvery thread glistening and glinting, beckoning me on Peaceful countryside noises abound in the air cooing of woodpigeons, rapid tapping of woodpecker raucous cries of rooks nesting in the trees nearby low mooing of cows and bleats from the young lambs As I journey onwards beneath the vibrant blues skies I come to a brow and there stretched out before me a landscape so picture perfect it moves me to tears verdant hues of green from the meadows, scent filled air This is where I want to be and to grow gracefully old to put down my roots and settle in this peaceful vale to wake each day to the glories of nature each different something new to catch my eye and fill me with delight A place to rest with natures bounteous treasures spread to revive a weary soul, to heal the ravishes of every day life
