standing beneath
the cold waterfall
my sins and the heat
swept from body and soul
by nature's baptism

Hullo, Francine. This is a strong tanka -- I am impressed. The pivot-swing between the two halves is pronounced, yet subtle at the same time, and works well with the neat theme. Hmmmm, same goes with your syllable trimmed 'em back a bit, but didn't leave a stick-person, which is good not to be lol. Good job, Canuck. Ta-tanka!
