tears stream down my face
as my mind begins to chase
memories hidden deep within a place
a place deep inside my soul
memories of you and me
of what we could and could not see
of what we should aways be
only memories in the end
these memories make me cry
and make me wish to slowly die
and nobody stops to ask why
I'm broken on the floor
my body is left yearning
for a touch that's not returning
as the world around me is burning
burning like it never has before
my heart has been shattered
and my soul has been left tattered
as if nothing else has mattered
in this world but you and me
could that surely be
could that have been the key
that the only thing to me
that mattered in this world
was you and me
