Typewriter

Into the kitchen for a cup of jo, then it's off to my study, I will go. Sit down, relax, get everything right, before I know it, morning is night. Roll the paper, neatly into place, tap, tap, tap, don't forget the space. Mind is in gear, words flowing with ease, oh crap, where's my white out, I hit the wrong key. Page after page the words start to flow, stop, take a break, I really have to go. Grab a quick snack, then it's back to my chair, to finish my masterpiece, without a minute to spare. It's been a long day, my works finally done, until next time typewriter, for another long run. Colleen Marie Bono Put your best rhyme forward contest

The only thing to remember is that your poem is a winner...very delightful especially the part about "before I know it, morning is night" This always happened but we were happy....white outing along.....

Hi Colleen, my typewriter poem didn't make the winners list either. I still think it is a good poem. So even when we don't place we at least have created something that previously never existed. That has great value. I enjoyed reading yours again.

I knew you could change direction of your poetry Colleen. <*> I want you to write a poem about an animal you would miss if it became extinct, and in rhyme form, as it suits you <*> Good luck in the 'Typewriter' contest, it's sure to do well. Have a lovely weekend, James :)

I like the concept of your poem. It kind of gave me an old image of one of my favorite writers ect--- Stephen King. Do you remember a print where he's on a typewriter, WHEN THE MOVIE ENDS. He clicks it on over and wallah :-) he's done. I like these couplets/ rhymes. Your day in the poems starts off pretty sweet, a cup of jo' is the best way to go. Love the way your day was surrendered to your passion. I need a typewriter. Maybe then, i can create poems like back then. always~ Linda

Great job put spaces after commas it distracts the reader. I think this poem will do well, it has humour built in. Good luck

Hi Colleen - I seldom take part in the contest, so I'm no "expert". - My opinion about your poem: - It very well written - makes me think of the "old" heavy and large typewriters ..... badly ink, keys that got stuck - A great poem to contest in my opinion. - Wishing you good luck! - Thank you for visiting my poem, welcome back anytime you wish. - oxox / / Anne-Lise :)
