Two Stars

Two stars are timidly twinkling beyond the heavenly dome,
Touchingly emanating their light
Into the dark void of my solitude.
Solitude is proud
If you are followed by memories,
And me and memories are like wind and roses,
Facing each other,
Forever faithful to each other.
People say that her bright gaze
Shall never arrive in my darkness,
Because death took her to a world without light.
While the rumor of doom travels my dark paths
I heard the whisper of two leaves in the dreamy night:
"There is no dead love!"
There might be some truth to rumor,
But I am still looking up,
Into that star so dear,
That is plating my tear with silver,
The tear that just fell onto the face of the shadow so close to me.
Yesterday I was kissed by her,
And today I am kissed by solitude.
I could listen to rumors and escape into the city of lights,
To look for a shelter from solitude in the embrace of a nymph,
But I know that it's impossible to escape solitude
When you hopelessly love two infinite eyes
That shine so brightly up there.
I know that my nights shall become longer and longer,
And the days ever shorter.
All I can do is look at the two bright gazes
That shine so brightly up there,
To sometimes wake up the timid shadow on the soul,
Just like that... to cheat on solitude.
