Two a Day

What drives me to post two poems a day Little green men dancing the plié? Or maybe a monster with one evil eye? Enormous dragons, oversized flies? Whatever the subject, I never need fret The ideas keep flowing, on that you can bet Like having a baby or baking a pie It comes quite natural for some of us guys! What could it be, is it fortune or fame? Or could it just be, the thrill of the game To challenge one's psyche to write every day Sometimes it's easy, sometimes nay! Got some advice for newbies among us Two poems a day is by no means a must It's a goal to shoot at in the days up ahead But don't lose sleep, it's nothing to dread! © Jack Ellison 2013

I get on big writing streaks... then on huge writers block. I don't know why. But before I even joined this site I had mountains of material... if I were to post everything I've written, all at once, no one would have much time to read them... lol! I'm a bit OCD and have started posting three-a-day... if I don't post in threes it annoys me for some inexplicable reason... *shrugs*... good advice to not be discouraged! The more you read the faster you will improve, in my opinion :)

LOL I'm a two-poem-a-day man! If you post more than 2 or 3, people will only read 2 or 3. Anyway that's what I have discovered! Cheers!

Dragon says he's happy you put him BEFORE over sized flies... And says his fire is WAY more frightening than a monster with one evil eye... Now he's asking me why I don't write 2 poems a day about him? Sigh... See what you started.... Chuckle... I think I'd better get writting or my roses are gonna get another headache... Silly dragon!

I believe that Carol will love the fact that you included dragons within your awesome write here my friend! I know I love it, just for its pure craziness if not for anything else! You sure can write on about anything I know Jack! This is a magnificent poem my friend! I truly loved reading this enlightening piece this morning! What an outstanding poem, Great Work!!
