Turtleman

Tenacious tender turtleman Touching time in backwoods glory Turtles in trouble treated with truth Relocates pesky animals for safety Fans laugh at his rainbarrel bath Never saw a bar of soup....? Natural for the naturalist

Hi Doris, sad to hear about your continuing problems! I think I won't have surgery of my left shoulder as it probably won't make a difference, although my problems with both arms/hand continue. I'll have many different appointments in January and February, so I'll wait and see. Thank you for your kind comment on "Evening"! I wish you a good start in 2012!...Gert:)

yip/yip...AHHEWWWW!!!!!!!!I love "Turtleman" what a crazy dude! and his platonic sidekick!....I gotta turtle story for ya, Doris!....I was fishin' the shallows in a backwoods bay of a remote lake here in Minnesota one Spring.....pants rolled-up....wading...plinkin' nesting bluegills.....when, out of the corner of my eye I spot a monster "Snapping Turtle" WITH JAWS OPEN! cruisin' a few feet away....towards my thigh! musta been in his (or hers) nest too! instinctively.....I reached above my head and broke off a 6' dead branch from an overhangin' tree.....put it right in the mouth of the Snapper! and backed up onto the shore....holdin' him off! haven't been back since! jimbo
