'true Character'

We falter at times when we least expect it just like that We drop the ball we've been dribbling forever without a second thought we are faced with a dilemma no one could foresee Sometimes in those moments our true character is born

There's lil olme in that first stanza, I recognize it every time and squirm a bit. Last line is so true if we take the bull by the hornsand dosomething about ourselves. Youmanage agreat thought with so few lines Wilma. Love and hugs to you, Lizzie

Yes, what is inside comes out in tough times. We need to nourish our being -what is put in and what is introduced. What comes out can be great if we are full of the good stuffs. Love ya, Toquyen

This is a true fact my friend! I believe that is when our character is developed, at least that is when it is shown! It's hards to go through these events in our lives but we must go through them at times, it's just a part of life! What a wondrous poem about just that Wilma! Great Work!!

Thought provoking write! You know, sometimes that ball is NOT worth the effort, sometimes its not only the wrong court, its the wrong sport all together. Strength, I think, is also shown by what we do after we realize we are human, frail and finally realize that we need help or a new direction. Loved this! Cyndi PS-- your words on my Darfur poem really moved me. Thank you for seeing my intent.
