Today, I thought of you, and a smile spread across my face My mind recalling the memories we shared Your heartfelt laughs and bearlike hugs Always telling me to do my best and to never give up That you loved me, and always would. Today, I talked to you, and a tear ran down my face As I looked up at the sky, I felt the warmth of your smile once again I told you I missed you… And how I wished I could hear your voice again To see you again… Today, you talked to me and the floodgates opened The clouds parted and the sun shined brighter A soft breeze wrapped around me and whispered in my ear… That you loved me and everything would be alright That someday we would see each other again in heaven.
