To See the Truth

To see the truth, close your eyes
When your feet are chained in fog
Do not look up at forged skies
The songs have drowned in the smog.

You are lost in a storm of dust
To see the truth, close your eyes
Grope in the dark for the hand you trust
For something to make you realize.

It is a world masked, bright with lies
But if, blessed, you miss what’s gone
To see the truth, close your eyes
May you glimpse the promised dawn.

Glittering gold has darkened the nights
Closer, approaches the day of demise
When blinded by the glaring lights
To see the truth, close your eyes.
