To Be a Captive
How it feels to be a captive
To be confined within 4 walls
You feel life is not worth to live
And there is no friend for you
Always scared as you don’t know what is going to happen next
Your brain is always thinking of what to do
Feeling unsafe and never at rest
Your confidence dies within you
You sometimes think what went wrong
What bad did you do to others
And you can’t think anything for long
As you sit lonely without anyone for you
Your trust has scattered for and with everyone
Now you are living in a fantasy world
You don’t listen to orders by anyone
Your freedom is wanted by you
You want someone to help you become normal
Someone who understands your feelings and you
You just have enough space to curl
And you want god beside you
To be open in the light for a short time and mostly in the dark
You don’t know what the world’s treasures are
In the black the whole time you lark
And from outside you are barred
Then you understand the real meaning of liberty
And you know what right and justice means
You get to know your mistakes and think whether you’ll be like this for 20 or 30
And wish you could go back in time and correct yourself
You want god to help you and not people
As he is the only one you have faith in
You ask him to make you stop shake and shiver
And hope you live one more time
