Loving you is hard
It turns happiness into sadness
Joy into anguish
Hope into despair
It’s a choice I’ve taken
To break my won heart
To see and feel the mold
As it captures my spirit
To try is to fail
To know is uncertainty
To partake is a taste
To resist is futile
Loving you is torture
It turns feelings into numbness
Care into apathy
Freedom into struggle
It’s a path I’ve chosen
To forget who I am
To acknowledge the bindings
As it shadows my nature
To forget is waste
To retreat is slim
To stay is abandonment
To rest is death
Loving you is real
It turns thoughts into ideas
Highs into lows
Courage into inhibitions
It’s a decision I’ve made
To suffer the consequences
To sharpen the saw
As it scars my existence
To endure is to dream
To receive is to doubt
To join is the end
To believe is defeat
