Tiny Laughter
Tinkling, tiny laughter, delight
From Jamie loved, a singular sight
Giggling with innocence, incomparable
Adult concerns suddenly bearable
Comprehension of a funny story
Calls forth two dimples in deep-set glory
Eyes avoid contact, shyly downcast
With inner joy, her pleasure's forecast
Simplicity of this purest sound
Provides life's pleasures wherever they're found
I call it a privilege to be present
And retain this memory, now so pleasant
I'll ever be filled with gratification
To hear this sound with satisfaction
Four-year old triumph, filled with glee
Smiling charmingly, just for me!
