Time To Grow Up

The older I get, the more loud noises Annoy me and cause irritation Got sensitive ears since becoming a senior Sometimes prefer isolation Alone with my thoughts of a better world And how to be good girls and boys Instead of bickering and squabbling all day About who's got the biggest toys It surely is time for us guys to grow up Been acting like kids for too long We should smarten up, start acting our age No more conflicts from now on A world where people love one another In spite of language or colour It's really not difficult to imagine a day Us all getting along with each other © Jack Ellison 2013

Whew, thought I was going to have to grow up for a second, but I'm ok with all of this, but I saw your newest poem titled big boobies rule, and realized I'm not too grown up lol, regardless of what the poem is about. In fact I think that thought further reveals my immaturity to myself lol. Great work as always, I'm never surprised anymore, only impressed by the continued quality. I'm only left with keep it up and get some better earplugs, wonderful work here Jack.

My Hubby has a near photographic memory... or it is... He has extra nerve endings in his brain and body everywhere... so pain hurts more, and noise is twice as bad for him. The kids here is hard on him... so I have him sleeping down stairs on the couch to get away from them and their noise...

This is a great image to think on my friend, I wish we would all get along together, then there wouldn't be wars! But alas we know that this will never be, there will always be war, us humans just can't get along, not completely anyway! I really enjoyed reading this amazingly delightful poem this morning! What a astounding piece, Great Work!!
