The Wait

Society does not want me to wait, Instead they want me to date, And communicate with duplicate Copies of you; Indulge myself in the world's pleasure Until I find you, my perfect treasure, Forget my morals and my standards And satisfy the desire of mere mortals. Don't get my wrong 'cause I'm not saying That I can rid the world of all its mayhem. Mother nature's disasters we can't accurately predict But our natural reactions we can depict. So I'll wait until the time is right It may be either day or night I know exactly what I want to do; And that is, I'll continue to wait for you! So I will no longer date Or communicate with duplicate Copies of you; I will appreciate The wait, Until the day I find you

Donella-Great points in this "patient write." You are one smart lady to not waltz to the world's tune...you obviously have your head on straight. Morals and standards are not learned over night so congratulations to you for doing things "just right." I will follow your work. Much enjoyed this work. Gwendolen
