The Unbeliever
Amnesia is comfortable when you choose to exclude,
What may be unforgivable and your actions exude.
Expulsion of previous remorse instead of regret.
If forgiveness comes knocking on your door you don’t repent;
As easily as eyes blink, your synapses elude guilt,
In keeping the truth away, you let others fault yield.
Consciousness sleeps well when you emotionally detach,
Starting to face crimes would simply trigger loosing the match.
You fled from responsibility, didn’t even strive,
What you do is thoughtless; regardless of your acts, you thrive.
