The Ultimate Sacrifice
The Ultimate sacrifice
On a Hill called Calvary
My Savior died not just you and me
But for the whole world to see
Just seconds before He cried out; It is finish the battle is over!
In His eyes I saw pure love yes without a doubt
The ultimate sacrifice in the greatest hour a true showcase of sheer power
Thus the question is out of appreciation do we shout?
Or do we repudiate
It might seem too late
But He the Lord has set out care and love to be His fate
He said Father; unto you me Spirit I command!
In that hour the world turned dark
The universe had to respond in reprimand
The Lamb of Glory slayed for me, for you a journey we need not embark
Yet He rose and with Him He brought light and hope
He brought Love, He brought a smile just so you and I in troubled times can cope.
It all happened, long ago, but still now it is the Ultimate sacrifice.
