The Truth Of Me

Struggling with emotion
There is no cause to be found
A sadness creeps in
I'm suddenly way down
Cold air breathes through my lungs
But rather than wake me it makes me sleep
Ready to hibernate or alone walk the dark streets
Eyes open wide budding with tears
Filled with dread akin to fear
Its a struggle internal and no one can see
Because I artfully hide the truth of me

You and I are a lot alike! I am infamous for hiding my emotions... tends to bite me in the butt eventually. Writing is a beautiful way to express emotion we don't know or maybe can't show physically. Great write!

For whatever reason this poem posted twice...I removed the first one, because there was no point in having two of the same things.

When we remember that our connection to the cosmos is eternal than loneliness seems like a futile smile - J.A.B. %
