The Tear Drops Speak of Loneliness
The tear drops speak of loneliness
As they wash a painful Soul
And the melody playing on the radio is that of a
Lonely song, the lyrics speak of someone like you
And a golden voice croons of the pain in my heart
But as I strive to uncover the abundance of adoration
That can so excite a heart and make it flutter
A melancholy air engulfs me and I am cautious
And apathy clings to the moment and I feed the presence
Of pretense
In this vortex of sadness, dark clouds hover and the misty
Rain is just on time to mask the frowns that follow a
Saddened heart as eyes swell and crow’s feet encroach
On the squeezed crooked lips of a cold numbing
Solitude
It is then that the wind calls your name
And as I dream of ecstasy
Reality strikes me with vengeance and in this state of being
I find myself in a dimension of darkness floating in a sea of agony
I reach out but there is no you to touch
And I wonder will you ever come to me
And lead me to the light or must I, as does the dead man walking
Take a solitary walk to the solitary light in the solitary world
That is my solitary life
And the tear drops speak of loneliness.
